What should I do when my sprayer seems clogged?

TIP: Once you mix the packet in the water and give a good shake, let it settle for about five minutes. Once all of the sediment settles, you can spray. You NEVER have to shake again!

Excessive shaking and spraying simultaneously causes the particles to move into the “dip tube” and spray nozzle, causing it to clog!  If this happens, take sprayer out of bottle and place end of stem in a cup of water. Squeeze sprayer several times until sprayer is unclogged. If that does not work, calling our customer service line is recommended. We will send out replacement sprayers within 24 hours. 1-888-425-0125

Can I use InstaGone on painted surfaces?

You can use InstaGone on any painted surface, including walls, ceilings, aluminum and vinyl siding. We do suggest, however, testing for colorfastness, especially on darker colored, painted surfaces. To do this, apply InstaGone to a small, inconspicuous area with a cotton-swab and wait ten minutes. Some darker painted surfaces may experience bleaching. We can’t predict or possibly know the type of dye or chemicals gone into every type of paint, which is why we say PLEASE test an inconspicuous area if you are not sure!

Quick 10 is a great product to use on your painted surfaces to remove everyday scuffs and marks! Check it out on our products page!

Can I use InstaGone on colored grout?

Yes. You can use InstaGone on your colored grout in your bathrooms, kitchens and/or where ever it is present in your home. After you spray, let it sit for 5-10 minutes. Once the stains have been removed, use a wet, white washcloth and wipe area clean.

Where can I store my unused InstaGone packets?

Unused packets of InstaGone should be kept in a dry, cool area to ensure longer shelf life of 1 – 1.5 years.

How long will InstaGone last after mixing with water?

Instagone will remain strong for approximately 6-8 months.

If InstaGone gets on any vegetation, what should I do?

Don't worry! To be safe, rinse with water to dilute the InstaGone. It will not harm your plants! However, to be extra cautious, you can cover colorful plants & flowers. Rinse landscaping with garden hose after spraying InstaGone on your stained surfaces.

I've heard InstaGone is good for RV's and boats. What areas does it work best on?

Some of our biggest retailers are in the RV and Boat industry!

RV's: Exteriors (PVC fittings, water hook-ups, black streaks, rubber fittings and most awnings) Interiors (carpet type ceilings and bathrooms, including tile grout and shower stalls)

Boats: Hulls, water lines, bait wells, vinyl seat cushions and heads

Can InstaGone be used on fabrics (clothing & upholstery)?

No. InstaGone is a halogen releasing, oxidizing agent that will cause staining and bleaching on cloth fabrics, carpets, clothing, drapes and upholstery. If these items are in the vicinity of where you have to spray, please cover or protect properly.  Since bleaching may damage your clothing, older clothes are recommended while cleaning with InstaGone. We also recommend to move bathroom rugs and decorative shower curtains when using InstaGone in spray form in your bathrooms. When using on a ceiling or above your head, do not stand directly under the area you are treating, in the case of drips.

InstaGone can, however, be used on RV interior ceilings, as that particular material is made from olefin fibers. Olefin fiber is a synthetic fiber made from a polyolefin, such as polypropylene or polyethylene.  Therefore, InstaGone will not bleach the ceiling. It can also be used on Tyvek-type surfaces (tents, for example) and white canvas materials.

Why must I use InstaGone in a well-ventilated room?

We want you to be safe; different products affect people in many different ways. In order to evenly regulate the safety of our product, we recommend using your InstaGone in a well-ventilated space. What does that mean? Open the windows in the room. Turn on exhaust fans if in a bathroom or use an exhaust window fan. This will help ventilate the room in minutes and dissipate any cleaning odors while InstaGone is working its magic. Please note, like with any product, one should not inhale powder dust or liquid fumes when mixing with the bottle of water. If you are sensitive to smell, you can wear a dust respirator as a precautionary measure.

I've heard InstaGone has a bleach like odor. Why is that?

Like bleach, InstaGone is an oxidizing agent. This means it has a similar chemical to bleach in it, just in a different form. That is why the smell is so similar. But bleach and InstaGone are not the same thing! InstaGone is five times stronger than your regular household bleach and made WITHOUT the corrosiveness, meaning you can use it on a surface many, many times and it will not decompose or compromise that surface.

Recommendations: you can eliminate 75% of the odor when using a brush or a roller to apply InstaGone indoors.

What is the difference between InstaGone and bleach?

InstaGone is similar to a household bleach, yet different in many ways. It contains similar chemicals, but is stronger and non-corrosive. Unlike bleach, you can use InstaGone on a surface 60-70 times without compromising it, whereas if you use bleach it will start to decompose that surface after only a few times.

Basically, household bleach is made with Sodium Hypochlorite, whereas InstaGone is made with Calcium Hypochlorite, along with other enhancing combinations, which allow it to be 5 times stronger than your regular household bleach (patented)! Therefore, when some say it’s just bleach and water, they’re not correct! Because your regular house-hold bleach is made with sodium hypochlorite, about the time it arrives to your retail store and especially to the end-user (you!), more than half of the strength has already been lost through this process.  InstaGone comes to the consumer at the strongest and freshest it can possibly be. These power packets of concentrated solution contain the strength of the magic until you decide you want to use it.

Similarities: They are both oxidizing agents, which means they will both take the color out of fabrics (carpet, clothing and upholstery). When in doubt, always check an inconspicuous spot for colorfastness.

Differences: Unlike bleach products, InstaGone won't take the color out of hard surfaces, like colored grout, colored tile, porcelain, fiberglass, etc. It is also 5 times stronger and made without the corrosiveness!

My patio furniture is ruined from being kept outside all winter. Will InstaGone rid of the stains?

Absolutely! InstaGone works well on your PVC, resin, metal and fiberglass patio furniture. It also works on vinyl materials, such as outdoor seat cushions, patio umbrellas and even your pool coping & liners! Once you have tested for colorfastness, rinse all furniture with a garden hose to rid of dirt and debris and let completely dry.  Apply InstaGone by spraying, rolling, or brushing. It is best to use in direct sunlight. Do not wipe or rinse off right away. Let sit for 10-15 minutes then rinse with garden hose again.

When treating a larger area, a 1-gallon garden pump sprayer is recommended. Mix in separate container, using 4 packets to 1 gallon of water. Shake and let settle for 15 minutes. Screening the product while pouring it into the sprayer is recommended by using a syphoning screen or an old cloth or nylon. This will prevent clogging for garden sprayers that do not have syphoning screens.  Please call customer service for more detail, 1-888-425-0125.

Some patio umbrellas are made from materials using olefin or vinyl, and these types of material are safe for InstaGone. Always check to see what your “fabric” materials are made of before using InstaGone. If you are still unsure, call 1-888-425-0125.

How do I use Quick-10 on my carpet?

As with any carpet stain remover, you should test Quick-10 on an inconspicuous area to check for colorfastness. After you’ve done this test, simply spray a stream of Quick-10 on the stain and wait a couple of minutes to allow the enzymes to work thoroughly. Then, wipe or blot area with a clean terry cloth towel to accelerate drying time. On very difficult or deeply set stains, you may have to repeat this process.

Can I use Quick-10 on my clothing?

Definitely! One 2 oz. scoop in your laundry alone or mixed with your favorite laundry detergent, Or as a stain remover simply spray Quick-10 directly on the stain and wait a few minutes before putting in your washing machine with the rest of your laundry. Quick-10 works great on soiled collars and cuffs and is safe on sweaters and delicate washables. Quick-10 can also be used to spot clean your dry clean only garments. For example, to remove a stain from a silk tie, spray Quick-10 on a clean white handkerchief and gently blot the stained area of the tie.

Should I use Quick-10 differently on upholstery stains?

We strongly suggest that you set the Quick-10  bottle’s nozzle on “spray” rather than “stream”.  Start a few inches outside of the stain and work your way in. Mist lightly and blot gently with a clean terry cloth towel. It is better to repeat the process after drying than to over saturate the fabric, which can set the stain deep into the padding. On small stains, lightly soiled areas, and delicate fabrics, we recommend spraying Quick-10 on a clean terry cloth towel and gently dabbing the stain with the towel until the stain is removed. As always, test an inconspicuous spot for colorfastness before removing the stain.

Is Quick-10 safe for Oriental rugs?

Yes!  We suggest applying Quick-10 directly to the stain, then after waiting a few minutes, gently blotting the stain with a clean terry cloth towel. Rubbing is not needed or recommended. Always test a small area for colorfastness before you begin.

Can I use Quick-10 in a carpet cleaning machine?

Yes! One packet of Quick-10 or one 2 oz. scoop mixed with a gallon of warm water makes a fantastic cleaning solution that you can use in virtually any consumer grade carpet cleaning machine. Because commercial carpet cleaning machines operate at high water temperatures, we highly recommend using our specially formulated and newly-introduced Quick-10 Pro product line for optimal results.
