Whatever the cause, the most important thing to do about a holiday carpet or upholstery stain is to act while the New Year is still new. "You don't want the stain to set," says Chicarielli. "We recommend that consumers always keep a reliable carpet and upholstery cleaner such as Quick-10 on hand, but if you have liquid dish detergent, ammonia, white vinegar and isopropyl rubbing alcohol, you'll be able to remove the most common holiday stains."
